Wii Games For A 5 Year Old
The cast of characters puts the player as The Mom who drives around The Baby, The Boy, The Girl and The Dog. You are put inside a visually impressive 3d town that has lots of style and variety but watch out as the town has traffic you can run into if you aren’t careful which will slow you down. Scattered throughout the city are certain places you must go to and you are guided by a colored arrow similar to Crazy Taxi. The controls are simple, using the arrow keys for acceleration, brakes and turning. The X key will honk the horn which is just for fun.
There are always three active tasks in this game and you can complete them in any order you wish. Careful though, all of these are timed errands so you must complete them with the time given. Some errands reward you with extra points for having the family members in the car (such as the Burger Bar) and some errands should be completed alone to get the maximum points(Spa, Yoga, Hair Stylist). The goal is to make it to the end of the day having reached a certain amount of points and each day gets progressively harder.
I found that using the map is a must to help figure out where to go next. The HUD layout is very straightforward and well thought out. Throughout the town you will find collectibles that will increase your score or increase your timer. You can also pick up just for fun items that change the color of your 3d car which helps add nice variety to the game.
A small complaint about this game is it seems a tad difficult which might make it less appealing to a younger audience. Also you have to always drive on the road or you will hit the invisible collision wall. It would have been nice to have more freedom to drive around and explore the interesting town more.
